Position Overview

Adaptive Biotechnologies is currently recruiting a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join our TCR Discovery team. The successful candidate will be developing and implementing cellular and molecular workflows to facilitate TCR discovery.

Responsibilities

  • Isolation and culture of human primary immune cells and cell lines.

  • Execution of immune cell biology-based assay and optimization of processes within TCR discovery.

  • Execution of flow cytometric-based cellular phenotyping and cellular sorting.

  • Vector design, transfection and viral transduction of mammalian cells, as well as optimization of conditions for molecular delivery.

  • Coordinate and execute experiments with Scientists and RAs across functional groups, compile data and present results.

  • Stay current on relevant primary literature.

  • Assist with laboratory organization tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a biological science

  • 2+ years lab experience in Immunology or related field

  • Experience with cell culture and aseptic technique is required

  • Experience with multiparametric flow cytometry is preferred

  • Experience with handling human tissue specimens (blood, etc.) is preferred

  • Proficiency with cell transfection and viral vector-based cell infection is a plus

  • Experience with cell sorting is a plus

  • Familiarity with BSL-2 protocols and best-practices is a plus

  • Proven ability to work independently, as well as to collaborate with peers

  • Effective in a fast-paced team-oriented environment

  • Strong organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills

The Company was founded in 2016 by leading scientists from the Gladstone Institute’s Cardiovascular Division and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.</p><p>Tenaya is dedicated to addressing heart failure through multipronged efforts that target the fundamental cellular pathologies present in diseased cardiac muscle and that leverage cutting-edge research in cardiac development and regeneration.</p><p>Tenaya has a lead gene therapy program focused on in vivo reprogramming of cardiac fibroblasts to cardiomyocytes to regenerate heart tissue, and additional programs focused on cardiomyopathies.</p><p>Tenaya Therapeutics currently has 50+ full-time employees (not including consultants) and is headquartered in South San Francisco, California, USA.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Independent planning, execution, documentation, analysis and interpretation of in vivo mechanistic, efficacy and PK/PD studies.</p><p>· Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with critical collaborative partners throughout the company.</p><p>· Maintaining detailed records of experimental protocols and data in accordance with company policy.</p><p>· Familiar with creating IACUC protocols and documentations.</p><p><strong><i><strong><i>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</i></strong></i></strong> </p><p><br> BA/BS or MS in biology, pharmacology or related field with &gt;5 years industry experience. Experience conducting in vivo and ex vivo experiments on preclinical models of diseases, including making clinical observations, and harvesting samples for the evaluation of drug levels, histology, and molecular endpoints. </p><p>· Stereotaxic surgery experience.
