Research Associate II
In support of all NantBio projects, carry out essential upstream cell culture and protein production, DoE optimization experiments and cell line development. Additionally, support the discovery of Nant's monoclonal antibody program, including production of novel antibodies and development novel production methods. Optimization of various upstream parameters including, but not limited to, temperature, feed, supplements and media to increase product quality and yield. An ideal candidate has hands-on industry experience in cell-line development therapeutic biologics and knowledge of regulatory and documentation requirements.
Protein expression/upstream experimentation
Development of novel production techniques
Cell line development
Media and buffer preparation and documentation
Hands-on knowledge of downstream biologic therapeutics development and optimization; knowledge of sterile technique and proper sample handling. Experience in therapeutic protein production optimization and cell line development and optimization.
Hands-on laboratory operations including shake flask, spin-tube, and deep-well plate formats
Experience with mammalian cell banking
Prior experience in development of mammalian cell lines, including for production of recombinant proteins
Experience and knowledge of proper regulatory and quality documentation
Experience with cell line sterility testing
Prior experience with high throughput analysis, including FACS, cell culture chemistry analysis and IgG measurement
Excellent communication, presentation skills and creative problem solving
Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
Education and Training:
BS or MA in science or related field. Industry experience preferred; 3+ years' experience.
