Myriad RBM is looking to hire a Research Associate II or Higher, depending on Skills/Qualifications/Degree of Candidates; if you have skills higher than those of a Research Associate II, please don't hesitate to submit your Resume/application for this role.
Responsibilities
Each employee's specific job responsibilities are uniquely defined by their individual training plan and assigned duties, but are generally defined as follows:
Conducting assigned experiments and assists in their designs. Following directions and laboratory procedures as assigned by supervisor or senior level research associate.
Performing Luminex, Quanterix, and ELISA assay development, optimization, validation, and execution.
Organizing Myriad RBM Multi-Analyte Profiling (MAP) assay validation documents according to regulatory guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Analyzing, interpreting, and reporting results. Making clear, concise, and logical recommendations for further action.
Helping to complete projects on time and within budget.
Supporting transition of methods and reagents to customers.
Complying with the laboratory's technical, administrative and safety policies and procedures.
Participating in the laboratory's quality assurance plan, adhering to quality control and preventive maintenance policies and appropriately documenting these activities.
Troubleshooting and identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance and/or reporting of test results by initiating corrective action and using the defined electronic system to make the required management notification.
Performing proficiency testing in the same manner as routine samples.
Actively participating in successful and timely completion of training and competency assessment as outlined in the laboratory and departmental training programs.
Where competency has not been approved by supervision, will work under the direct supervision of an employee competent on the task.
Participating in continuing education according to accepted laboratory standards.
Participates in departmental and cross-functional teams to resolve problems or implement projects.
Can serve as a trainer on technical processes within the group.
Qualifications
Master's degree in clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical or biological science, or,
Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science with 3 years of experience in a clinical Laboratory.
Due to the nature of the tests extensive documentation skills are required
Requires good attention to detail
Good communication skills are a must
Requires the ability to adapt to change efficiently
Physical & Lifting Requirements
Lifting Requirements - medium work or exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pound of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force consistently.
Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, observing, reaching and repetitive motion.
Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
Hazards and Atmospheric Conditions - exposure to fumes, dust, extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid, noise, vibration, mists or gases, mechanical hazards, chemical hazards, electrical hazards and radiant energy hazards. OSHA Category I - duties performed routinely requires exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue
