A Research Associate in the Analytical Development Group will participate in the development of analytical methods to support biologics therapeutics from discovery through commercialization.
Provide support for the development, qualification and validation of analytical methods including; HPLC, SDS-PAGE, cIEF etc.
Process and analyze data and assist in writing, reviewing and editing technical reports
Utilize analytical methods to support early discovery and on-going development programs
Maintain analytical lab equipment and assist in lab organization tasks
Perform tasks independently with only slight supervision
Present study results in clear and concise manner to supervisor and group
Experience and Education:
BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or related field with at least 2-3 years of industry research experience or MS degree in above mentioned fields with 0-1 year of industry research experience
Prior protein analysis experience in early and/or late stage product development preferred
Analytical Expertise with bioanalytical methods and instrumentation, such as U/HPLC-based chromatographic techniques (SEC, CEX, RP), electrophoretic methods (IEF, SDS-PAGE) and particle characterization methods (MFI or FlowCam)
Experience with biophysical characterization methods, such as HPLC, SDS-PAGE, cIEF, DSC, PXRD, FTIR, Karl Fischer, light scattering, UV, CD and fluorescence spectroscopy
Prior research experiences in the areas of protein structure, stability, or protein aggregation are highly desirable
Ability to work independently with strong problem solving skills
Ability to work individually and in a team setting
Ability to maintain laboratory notebooks and records
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to multi-task and support accelerated timelines
