About this Role:
The Research Associate works directly with a team of analysts who research, write, and publish reports to help make digital business and retail professionals successful in their roles.
Learn about the retail industry and how it is evolving in global markets.
Provide timely and value-added research support for designated analysts, and provide backup to other Research Associates on the team.
Schedule, coordinate, and conduct customer reference and vendor interviews, as needed.
Conduct secondary research for published reports using industry sources, including competitive assessment and third-party data analysis.
Project manage the research production process for our methodology-based research such as Forrester Wave vendor evaluations, Forrester Tech Tide reports, Now Techs, and New Techs.
Assist in creating survey questions and fulfilling surveys to collect data.
Analyze data and create graphics.
Learn and be responsible for quantitative work with Forrester's data.
Assist in building analytical models, maturity models, self-assessment tools, etc. to support analysts' research.
Additional Team Support
Coordinate use of social media platforms (blogs, Twitter, online community) in the research and publishing process.
Manage vendor community contacts.
Draft short written pieces to support analysts.
Assist the research director and analysts with collecting and analyzing team performance metrics through data dashboards.
A B.A./B.S., with a strong academic record. All undergraduate majors are welcome to apply; any quantitative or statistics interest is a major plus.
Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
One to two years of varied undergraduate or postgraduate work experience.
A working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and other collaboration tools.
Strong project management skills.
Attention to detail and to building reusable resources like survey questions and formatted data outputs.
Demonstrated interest in learning about consumers and technology and how digital is transforming businesses.
