About the Role

The Research Associate is responsible for supporting client teams in daily activities. The Research Associate will learn EGA's various consulting processes and approaches, including contributing to research and analysis of various policy issues, drafting briefings, reports, updates and other materials for meetings, and support client teams in the execution of these processes for clients. The Research Associate will also help in understanding the development and execution of client strategic strategies. Research Associates report to Senior Analysts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Tracking issues and legislative developments affecting the technology sector.

  • Daily media monitoring and reporting for EGA clients and priority sectors and regions, with a focus on technology.

  • Researching and drafting policy and issue briefs/summaries on topics and developments as assigned.

  • Assisting with day-to-day client management and supporting the team's client work, including participating in meetings and calls, compiling reports on conversations, and managing scheduling and logistics efficiently.

  • Gaining a thorough understanding of client specifics, including their business strategy, products and services, target customer segments, and competitive landscape.

  • Assisting with coordinating projects and events, including supporting content development, outreach to participants, and logistics.

  • Supporting thought leadership development.

  • Participating in supporting the new business process, including research, audits, and preparation of proposals.

  • Supporting with event management, including creating stakeholder maps, coordinating with events team, reaching out to relevant offices and third-party suppliers, and managing logistical arrangements.

Basic Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience, including a previous internship experience in international relations, public affairs, government relations, etc.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience or relevant coursework.

  • Strong organizational and research skills.

  • Exceptional communications skills, including written and verbal.

  • Attention to detail when conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing summaries and reports; ability to ensure accuracy and precision in your work.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Highly proactive, self-motivated individual, able to learn and adapt quickly, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience or interest in developing expertise in tech policy.

  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and market teams and collaborate with colleagues from different regions and diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong work ethic and dedication to consistently provide quality work to team and clients.

$53,000 - $57,000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
