We are now seeking a Research Associate at our Bio-Techne, San Marcos site to assist within one of our many business units that are producing and manufacturing high quality proteins, antibodies, immunoassays (like ELISAs, Luminex) and so much more.

Compensation range for this position is $20-$38/hr + bonus program and benefits package.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for participating in the development and technical support of Bio-Techne's various product lines. You will follow standard operating procedures to manufacture these products and will contribute to the ongoing development of new and existing products to help advance Bio-Techne's evolving portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support development of Bio-Techne reagents and consumables
  • Set up and conduct experiments that help further new product development
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Draft and revise standard operating procedures
  • Document results and prepare reports summarizing your data
  • Carry out troubleshooting activities under supervision
  • Collaborate with other departments/labs as needed
  • Follow guidelines and comply with all company safety, quality, and training procedures and regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Complete project deliverables that relate to design control

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Or bachelor's degree in a related field and up to 3 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-faced environment where multitasking is required
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to analyze data to make effective decisions
  • Must work well both independently and in a team environment that requires strategic decision making
