The Research Associate will work under the supervision of Drs. Tasleem Padamsee and Eric Seiber in the College of Public Health Division of Health Services Management and Policy.

The Research Associate will help with the design and execution of research on a range of topics, including breast cancer screening, breast cancer, prevention, opioid use disorder prevention and management, Medicaid reimbursement, and other health policy areas. S/he will help design projects, including data collection and analysis plans; collect and analyze data. The Research Associate will utilize both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and software in the conduct of research projects.

S/he will assist with the preparation of grant applications, IRB applications, research reports, funding reports. S/he will develop, write, and co-author manuscripts. The Research Associate will also help coordinate and facilitate research team activities and perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned. Position to begin in late July or August 2019.

Master's degree in social sciences. Some experience with both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.

Strong writing ability. Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects. Ability and enthusiasm for learning new skills. Established ability to work independently and take initiative.

Desired Qualifications

Experience using quantitative and/or qualitative social science research software, managing projects, and/or participating in a research team. Training in a range of research methods, and strong ability to contribute to research design.

Knowledge of NVivo, STATA, Excel for analysis. Experience with cost-effectiveness analysis.

VIEW JOBS 8/29/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-27T00:00 Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Associate is responsible for indentifying/supervising a patient's location at all times, as well as ensuring that patients are free from harm to self, other patients, and staff. Provides an effective and positive role model and provides constructive feedback to patients. As an active part of the treatment team, assists patients by providing continuous client care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling. Responsibilities includes but not limited to the following: * Provides supervision to patients at al times * Assists patients with personal hygiene and ADL skills * Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vitals signs to detect deviations from normal and assess patient's condition * Collects specimens from patients * Assists with admission documentation/process, including assuring patients are oriented to the program * Manages patient property in compliance with program policies and procedure * Attends staff meetings and read patient charts to ensure treatment plan is followed * Reports potential crisis situations and medical/physical complaints immediately * Demonstrates competency in therapeutic communication * Consistently utilizes universal precautions and standards of infection control, environmental safety guidelines and level system, if applicable * Ensures adherence to patient rights * Reports all instances of patient abuse, staff misconduct and other unusual incidents to Supervisor * Completes, reviews, and/or signs incident reports, and provides follow-up (as appropriate and in accordance with agency policy) * Provides crisis intervention; applies CPI principles and techniques to aggravated client situations by taking appropriate precautions for the safety of the patient, self, and bystanders * Maintenance & filing of patient records KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES REQUIRED: Education: High School diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Sciences, Psychology, Sociology field preferred License: N/A Experience: Direct behavioral health experience of 1-2 years; CPR and First Aid certified; Psychology, Sociology or Human Services Educational Background preferred. Experience working with Adolescence preferred.
