Please refer to the department website to see existing research programs: www.med.unc.edu/pharm The successful candidates will be expected to direct an independent research program, compete for extramural and intramural funding and participate in professional and graduate student education. The successful candidates need to have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, state-of-the-art experimental laboratory skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other investigators and trainees. The selected candidates will also be expected to participate in the instruction of graduate and medical students and serve on departmental committees.Candidates should have a PhD or MD with significant postdoctoral experience in pharmacology, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, neurobiology or a related field.

VIEW JOBS 1/12/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-12T00:00 The UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking to expand faculty in its Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) by recruiting a junior faculty member. The MIGS Division currently consists of 3 MDs, a nurse practitioner, 2 RNs and two fellows in AAGL-approved sub-specialty training. Employment will begin in July 2019 as either a fixed-term or tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor rank. The selected candidate will provide care for patients in need of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and treatment of pelvic pain. Applicants should have exceptional clinical and surgical skills and enjoy training medical students, OB-GYN residents and fellows in the clinic and operating room. This position comes with excellent fringe benefits; salary will be commensurate with experience. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Recent graduates or those 1-2 years out of fellowship are encouraged to apply.Completion of an ACGME approved 4-year residency in OB-GYN and a 2-year fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (or its equivalent) are required.
