Overview

Position Summary: The Research Assistant is responsible for analysis of clinical and technical data for a variety of research projects; assist in the conduct of highly specialized technical research; research for and preparation of manuscripts, grant applications and research reports. Perform preliminary statistical analysis for research projects.

Research Support:

  • Support ongoing studies at the direction of the study lead.

  • Collaborate with clinical and research staff,

  • Coordinate and collect research tools and materials before the start of any patient or participant research study visit.

  • Set up equipment for tests, studies, and interviews, including cameras, machines, sensors, and other necessary materials.

  • Assist with data entry of Neuropsychological tests, structured diagnostic interviews, and rating scales.

  • Assist with scoring Neuropsychological tests, structured diagnostic interviews, and rating scales under supervision of senior staff.

  • Assisting in gathering materials for publications and grants

  • Assist with collecting specimens, tissue and fluids for examination and analysis.

  • Assist with study recruiting of patients or participants for ongoing research studies.

  • Assist with maintaining and updating forms and documents for research studies as needed.

  • Performing common office duties, such as reserving test rooms, equipment etc.

  • Coordinate all non-administrative research study protocol activities.

  • Provides administrative support for unit projects and programs.

Minimum Qualifications: 1+ years' of related experience.

  • Ability to accurately interpret and enter data into the computer system.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and writing skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

  • Superb organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple activities flexibly and simultaneously

Education/Licensure/Certifications: High school graduate or equivalent.

Pay Scale Information

USD $33,072.00 - USD $51,188.80

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
