Position Description
The RA will conduct the following key duties and responsibilities within an agreed timeframe with the PI and research team for the Global Collaborative for Changing Diabetes in Children Cohort Study project:
Assist in finalizing cohort study research protocol to submit at Harvard
Review requirements Institutional Review Board (IRB), Data Use Agreements (DUA), and Data Safety Agreements (DSA) at Harvard and in study countries; Submit IRB, DUA, and DSA at Harvard based on review of requirements; Review requirements IRB, DUA, and DSA in study countries and develop a plan with country implementing teams to submit required IRB, DUA, and DSA materials
Work closely with country implementing teams and clinicians to finalize research protocol and submit to local institutional review authorizing entities
Draw upon previous study frameworks to develop an analytical framework to assess country and clinic readiness; As part of a team conduct readiness assessments to establish the sequencing of country and clinic onboarding into the cohort study and identify activities to promote readiness for participation in the cohort study work with country implementation team to address ant capacity and resourcing gaps prior to onboarding
Create participant enrollment package
Develop presentation slide decks as needed, monitor study work plan, and communicate progress based on lab expectations outlined below
The RA will conduct the following key duties and responsibilities within an agreed timeframe with the PI and research team for the Health Systems Innovation Lab Innovation Stream:
Conduct mapping exercise of Venture Incubation Programs focused on healthcare; Use mapping exercise to provide guidance on curriculum refresh for the 2024 HSIL Venture Incubation Program
Conduct qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research, including data analysis
Conduct interviews
Produce manuscripts for publication
Present research findings to diverse audiences
Update PowerPoint presentations
Prepare detailed reports to synthesize project outputs
Performing other duties as assigned
PLEASE NOTE: This position has a term appointment of 1 year from date of hire with the possibility of extension. Evening and weekend work may be required to ensure key milestones and timelines are met.
Job Summary
The Research Assistant will work under the guidance of Professor Rifat Atun, the Principal Investigator (PI) to engage in a series of research activities within the Health Systems Innovation Lab (HSIL) at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the following projects: (I) Global Collaborative for Changing Diabetes in Children Cohort Study and (II) Health Systems Innovation Lab Innovation Stream.
