Summary of Job Duties:

Research Assistant I, supports Dr. Pearman Parker with sexual health and oncology-related studies at the College of Nursing (CON), Nursing Science & Practice Department. This position is comprehensive, including study visit support, regulatory compliance, and data management.

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate Degree, Major Public Health, Social Science, Nursing, Health, Education or related field plus (3) years of research experience.

  • Computer program experience: Intermediate or higher skills level in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Adobe Pro, various electronic medical record systems, REDCap or other database management software in a research setting is strongly preferred.

  • Computer program proficiency level: Advanced

  • Some research experience, preferred.

  • Must be willing to drive personal vehicle to meet with stakeholders and participants throughout the state.

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be willing to provide a writing sample upon request.

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment support for participants and study sites.

  • Data collection (quantitative and qualitative).

  • Maintenance of study data.

  • Managing physical and electronic study logs

  • Assisting with annual reporting to the IRB and funding agency

  • Ordering supplies and managing petty cash for participant incentives

  • Working with graduate students as needed

  • Conducting literature searches.

  • Additional tasks as assigned by the PI.

  • Other duties assigned

Salary Information:

Commensurate with education and experience.
