Additional Information

This is a term position ending on 8/30/2019 with the possibility of extension, with the possibility of extension based on funding and performance.

Key Responsibilities * Lead and conduct studies to meet established lab and study aims. * Help achieve study recruitment goals. * Maintain laboratory equipment and facilitate lab workflow. * Complete data collection, management, and analysis per established guidelines. * Comply with regulatory obligations including conduct of human and/or animal research. * Conduct work in compliance with safety standards. * Uphold the PCC Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. Additional Responsibilities for Research Assistant II * New staff member training is developed and conducted to meet established performance expectation. * Consultation and support is provided to other research personnel and trainees to meet established goals. * Report development assistance is provided for the IRB, funding agency and other regulatory agencies * Data analysis is conducted per established guidelines. * Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities (include number and type of FTEs) * Coordination of simultaneous studies led by different members of the lab Qualifications and Experience Education/Degree Required * Bachelor's Degree required. * Direct clinical research experience is highly valued for Research Assistant. This is required for Research Assistant II. Preferred * Master's Degree in scientific field related to the lab's aims and methods of investigation is preferred for Research Assistant II. Experience Required Preferred * Previous experience with human subject research Licensure Required Preferred Skills (Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.) Required * Computer proficiency required, with ability to learn new software. Preferred * Previous experience (beginner level or higher) with computational software, including Matlab, python, R, and database tools * Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population. * Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team. * Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them. * High level of service delivery.
