The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Cardiovascular Division is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our research team funded by an RO1 grant. The Research Assistant / Data Entry Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting various research activities, with a primary focus on accurate and efficient data entry and management.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry and Management:

• Enter research data accurately and timely into designated databases or software systems.

• Ensure data integrity and consistency through careful validation and verification processes.

• Maintain organized records of all data entry activities and ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

Research Support:

• Assist in participant recruitment efforts, including contacting and scheduling participants as per study protocols.

• Prepare research materials and assist in data collection during research sessions.

• Perform literature reviews and assist in the preparation of research reports and manuscripts.

Administrative Support:

• Coordinate logistics for research meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.

• Assist in procurement of research supplies and equipment as needed.

• Support grant reporting requirements by compiling necessary data and documentation.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Collaborate effectively with team members, including researchers, clinicians, and administrative staff.

• Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to the project team in a clear and timely manner.

• Maintain professional and respectful communication with study participants and external collaborators

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
