ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Research Analyst III to join our team in the Springfield, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The selected individual will provide network analysis support as part of an integrated agile team that will be responsible for using, developing, maintaining, and enhancing models, tools and software for Intelligence Analysis-Counter-terrorism-Network Analysis, Predictive Modeling, Threat Research Support, Visualization and Query Support.

The Research Analyst III will:

  • Deliver analysis for the identification and analysis of transnational criminal organizations, their future actions, and their methods

  • Search and analyze intelligence data, synthesize intelligence information into relationship or threat model data, and infer the confidence level and completeness of the information

  • Research additional sources such as trade, travel, criminal activity, and money movement to isolate actors, activities, and networks that represent threats to the US security or legal trade and travel

  • Provide analytical support for the development of analytical models to identify networks, predict future threats, and isolate and evaluate threat scenarios

  • Work in data science teams that include Intel analysts, data and visualization experts, and software developers

  • Prepare documentation validating reasoning, certainty, and completeness in synthesized information

  • Responsible for the construct of dossiers for specific threats

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's degree (in related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience and proficient in use of computer-spread sheets, databases and other related tools.

  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding large, complex transaction data, with the ability to synthesize information from large amounts of data

  • Experience with Intelligence Analysis

  • Experience in community and threat Identification

  • Experience presenting work to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience evaluating uncertainty in relationship data

  • Experience working in law enforcement or classified intelligence analysis environment

Security Requirements:

U.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain DHS CBP Suitability is required

Provides all-source intelligence analysis on topics related to homeland security, including, but not limited to, border security, counter terrorism, and critical infrastructure protection. * Prepares finished analytic products, assessments,briefings, and other written or oral products on current threats and trends based on the sophisticated collection, research, and analytic trade craft of all sources of classified and unclassified information, including intelligence collection INTs, open source, law enforcement, and other government data. * Identifies gaps in available intelligence information and engages with collection managers on strategies to meet intelligence requirements through Intelligence Community collection disciplines. * Employs Intelligence Community analytic standards and appropriate trade-craft, methodologies and techniques and applies specialized subject matter expertise to prepare assessments of current threats and trends for consumers from senior US officials to state and local and private sector customers. * Collaborates with analysts across the Intelligence Community, law enforcement, and other agencies on products, working groups, and other information sharing forums. Qualifications Required: * Experience as an all-source analyst in an Intelligence Community agency producing finished, all-source analytical intelligence products in accordance with IC analytical standards, trade-craft, sourcing, and classification requirements. * Experience collaborating/coordinating all source-analytic assessments with agencies across the IC; * Experience using IC analytic systems and tools such as classified message databases, Analyst Notebook/i2, Web Intelligence Search Engine (WISE), or Palanatir. * Written and verbal communication skills that have led to the ability to write for a variety of audiences. * Candidates must be well organized, team focused, and possess critical thinking skills. * Candidates will have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with government and industry personnel at all levels of seniority.
