About Your Role:
Dotdash acquired Byrdie in 2019, it's rapidly become one of the largest standalone beauty sites in the world. Byrdie provides inclusive and up to date beauty advice and product recommendations in a fast, modern, easy format. As Byrdie's key Research and Insights analyst, you will be the expert on our audience, as well as understanding emerging trends in the beauty landscape and providing audience-led recommendations on client media strategy. You will support Dotdash Beauty & Style key lines of business includes Sales, Marketing, Editorial and Product Development.
You will have full support from data science, data operations and data engineering teams. You will have direct access to terabytes of data stretching back to the beginning of the internet. You'll be using this data, coupled with market data, to directly inform strategy.
About Your Contributions:
Become the expert on Dotdash's Beauty & Style brands (Byrdie and Brides) - you'll be required to go deep into the data, understand our site and audience better than anyone, and be the market expert on all things beauty and style -related.
Uncover insights and use them to craft compelling stories about our audience, rooted in our first-party data, to support existing and new advertising partnerships and campaigns.
Support the Dotdash Beauty & Style group in the presales process, by providing audience size and relevant insights.
Support the Dotdash Beauty & Style Group's Account Strategists in reporting on the impact of media campaigns running on Byrdie & Brides.
Position title and compensation depend on experience, ranging from Research Analyst to Director
Depending on experience, minimum of 2-6 years conducting research and analytics in the digital/media landscape, and/or the Beauty & Style space - with experience in both a strong plus
Expertise in working with large data sets
Excel is a must, but familiarity with Python or R is a plus
Excellent research synthesis skills allowing you to draw out key insights
Experience presenting results to both technical and non-technical audiences
Stellar communication skills
Solid problem-solving skills and inquisitive nature allowing you to deliver effective research
Strong desire to increase your understanding of the Beauty & Style sector
Experience working with measurement vendors in the digital beauty and style space a strong plus
