Vision: To create the most dominant property data platform in the U.S. that our business can trust as its primary source for market intelligence without material dependence on third party data sources


Is typically a data visualization and/or data programming expert, with minimal data collection responsibilities (although maybe required to oversee data collection work performed by one or more Data Analysts)

Delivers and updates standard and bespoke data dashboards on Tableau, Power BI, Dimension and other visualization tools to enhance ROI of available data to producers and market leaders

Uses data programming skills (SQL, Alteryx, R, Python) to automate data audits as well as routine processes to fill data gaps

May be pulled in to deliver and present data dashboards at the point of sale

Engages the Data Analyst(s) as needed for special projects

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Geography, and a minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.


Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents and summarize graphically and in writing. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.


Ability to handle and manipulate large amounts of data.

Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office.

Possess a positive work attitude and ability to work in a team environment.


Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

Job Description Summary The PCAOB has a full-time, regular position for a Research Analyst in the Office of Economic and Risk Analysis (ERA). ERA is responsible for conducting the PCAOB's economic analysis, research, risk assessments and other data analysis in support of the entire range of PCAOB activities, including standard-setting, inspection, enforcement and other oversight activities. The office applies a variety of academic disciplines and quantitative and non-quantitative approaches. ERA also plays a lead role in the PCAOB's efforts to identify and analyze audit and financial reporting risks and trends to inform the PCAOB's oversight activities, including its risk-based inspection program. The Research Analyst will work on projects that involve cutting edge textual data processing and analysis and assist post-implementation review economists in evaluating the overall impact of recent changes to the auditor's report. The Research Analyst will report to the Deputy Director and Chief Economist, Research, Economic Tools, and Data. This position requires experience or interest in text parsing, sharp coding skills, strong data management skills and a willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Research Analyst will work at the PCAOB's Washington, DC headquarters. Responsibilities * Collect, process, maintain, update, and document textual data from sources such as the Securities and Exchange Commission EDGAR database; * Build on existing textual data processing work (HTML parsing and Machine Learning based) by updating and improving programs; * Become familiar with relevant machine learning models to improve textual data processing and classifications; * Assist post-implementation review economists in conducting financial and statistical analyses of data. Requirements Qualifications * BA in computer science or a similar field; * Minimum of 2 plus years of experience and/or equivalent training/education; * Expertise in at least the following languages: Python, R, C#, and Java; * Experience or interest in textual data parsing and classifying; * Familiarity with financial statements is preferred; * Excellent data management skills; * Excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills; * Excellent written and oral communication skills; * Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines; * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; * Must be detail-oriented and have a professional, positive and proactive attitude.
