Responsibilities*
The School of Dentistry seeks a Research Administrator Senior to provide excellent customer service to our research faculty and technical staff. You will be part of the Grants and Contracts Shared Center (CGSC) team, reporting to the CGSC Lead. The CGSC is located in the Office of Research and supports the pre and post-award research enterprise.
Monitor expenditures on sponsored and non-sponsored projects, provide faculty/staff with recommendations regarding research expenditures
Review and reconcile monthly financial activity, resolving issues independently, communicating areas of concern to project directors and administration.
Manage multiple research portfolios with a high level of independence and autonomy.
Advise and assist faculty, fellows, and students with the submission of internal and external grant applications to federal, non-federal, and industry sponsors.
Ensure all proposals meet agency and University guidelines, published timetables, and deadlines.
Comply and advise regarding University and School research policies including: project budget development, accounting principles, sponsor regulations, sponsor selection, and contract terms and conditions.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of progressive grant and contract experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Intermediate/advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Adept at working independently and collaboratively
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary for communicating intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers.
Desired Qualifications*
Knowledge of university accounting principles and applications
Demonstrated experience with university business tools such as Business Objects, MPathways, M- Reports, Concur, and procurement.
Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification.
Experience preparing federal proposals, contracts, or foundation grants.
Experience with clinical trials and conducting feasibility analyses.
Work Schedule
This is a hybrid position with work completed onsite and remote. Current practice is one day per week onsite and four days per week remote.

This position is located at the School of Dentistry at 1011 N University Ave.
