As the Research Administrator II, you will serve as a key figure in the research mission of the institution. Some of your responsibilities include independently supporting investigators through the entire proposal submission process and administration of a large, high dollar and varied portfolio of sponsored awards that may include multiple faculty and locations. The ideal candidate for this position has excellent communication skills, is adaptable, open minded, has good time management, and experience with contract or grant management. A strong candidate has an in-depth understanding of clinical research and the NIH grant process.
In this role, you will be responsible to:
Manage competing priorities while providing excellence in customer service to internal and external customers;
Ensure activity records are accurate, appropriately organized and recorded in a timely manner; independently negotiate sponsored agreements and contracts;
Serve as a training resource for faculty and staff at all levels;
Identify and disseminate potential funding sources for faculty constituency;
Develop documentation of protocols, templates, and additional resources;
Read, interpret, disseminate, and apply federal and other sponsor guidelines and regulatory documents.
Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a business or a related field
Master's degree preferred
Five (5) years of grant and contract, IRB, IACUC, research administration or related experience is required
Experience using Huron products preferred
Experience with Lawson or Workday a plus
