I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership and training in supporting the quality management system. Provides support for the business units.
Adheres to and promotes the safety objectives of the organization. To perform a variety of skilled and semiskilled manual duties requiring knowledge of Problem Solving techniques, tools, equipment and safety precautions. Perform and document projects, internal and customer complaints, Supplier interaction, audits, capability studies, and other duties as requested by supervisor.
Performs work at a quality level consistent with Wabash National standard practice and departmental objectives. Supervised by Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, or Department Head. Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
Willingness to work within Production Teams and provide problem solving support to areas of responsibilities as well as tracking and reporting current metrics to Management. This will include creating and assigning action plans to improve Quality metrics.

III. QUALIFICATIONS
Must have both good written and verbal communication skills. Must have analytical skills and be able to exercise independent judgment.
High School degree or G.E.D. equivalent is required for this position. Quality Assurance experience required along with Five (5) years of manufacturing experience and Two (2) years of Quality Experience. Five (5) years of trailer knowledge is preferred for this position.
Ability to read and interpret technical data and engineering drawings is required. Experience reading and using a variety of precision measuring instruments preferred. Employee must have an understanding of Control Plans, PFMEA's, and other PPAP functions.
Must demonstrate basic skills in the use of both mainframe and PC-based computer applications (both spreadsheet and word processing), as well as SAP and SharePoint. Must be able to direct and influence the actions of others within areas of responsibility.
IV. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1.Requires minimum of eight hours of standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, with a full range of body mechanics.
2.Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds.
3.Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of ladder or stairs, climbing in trailers, and working on platforms.
4.Must have ability to operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, and manufacturing equipment, and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
V. WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
The work environment includes exposure to high decibels, temperature and weather variations, metal welding processes, and chemicals which may include solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking.
