Job Responsibilities

Registers patients accurately, efficiently and professionally to ensure data base integrity and facilitate claims processing. Applies financial screening guidelines to ensure proper procedures are followed in obtaining upfront collections for the specific facility.

Strives to expedite patient flow through prompt and courteous service. Completes assigned goals.

Job Summary

Obtains accurate demographic, financial and clinical information and enters into the computer system to create the medical and financial record. Applies financial guidelines to determine/collect patient liablity. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired

Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.

Associates degree or 2 years of college level courses.

Experience

Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired

1 year of business experience.

1 year of business experience in a healthcare environment.

Licensure

Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Completion of Certified Healthcare Access Associate Program within 15 months of hire date.

VIEW JOBS 11/7/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-02-05T00:00 Overview The purpose of this job is to provide prompt, effective assistance to clients and third parties reporting and servicing commercial property and casualty claims. This position also acts as a liaison between the agency's clients and insurers' claim departments where appropriate. Responsibilities * Counsel clients on policy provisions applicable to individual claims. Reviews policy contracts to determine if policy language provides some form of coverage for the identified claims. May also interpret policy provisions based on knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty contracts and advocate on clients' behalf with insurers where warranted. * Diligently and reliably follows up on those open claims meeting our service standards criteria to ensure proper and timely communications and prompt and favorable payments where warranted. Keeps insured informed on claims status and progress on open claims meeting service standards criteria. * Assists Claims Manager and others in the department in the research and preparation of data & documentation necessary for client claim review meetings where warranted on FBBI 365® and other identified accounts. * Responsible for obtaining the necessary new claims information from clients to promptly & accurately submit loss notices to the appropriate insurers and documenting all claim reporting and follow-up activity & correspondence in the agency management system. Qualifications * Thorough knowledge of insurance contracts and usage• Conversant knowledge of insurance markets and their claims procedures• Conversant knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting and how claims activity and losses affect insurance pricing by line of coverage• Must be a self-starter, imaginative and creative with good communication skills, both verbal and written• Should have thorough understanding of commercial insurance underwriting and coverages• Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information and respond appropriately • Ability to train and supervise others• College degree strongly preferred • P&C producer license required• Claims Adjuster license required• Minimum 5 years' experience in claims with an agency or insurer, across multiple business lines.• Must possess one of the following professional designations: AIC, AAI, CIC or the equivalent level of professional education and experience Trustmark Oxford MS
