SUMMARY

Provides assistance in the Customer Service Department which includes providing customer service duties to all accounts and administering customer complaints.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Demonstrates strong safety culture through personal behavior and commitment to environmental, health & safety.

  • Participates in the PACE culture of safety.

  • Establishes and processes customer orders from receipt to delivery and inputs data into SAP.

  • Communicate with the Production Planner and sales personnel on product availability, shipment date, and challenges.

  • Coordinate standard truck transportation to meet customer needs and to include a thorough understanding of TMS, VIM, and KAG

  • Communicates via telephone and email with customers regarding receipt of orders and supply information relative to their orders.

  • Acts as liaison between sales and customers to ensure availability of product and validates plant production volume schedules.

  • Notify Credit Analyst of credit-blocked shipments to help prevent missed shipments

  • Processes all documentation required for each shipment.

  • Work with sales and management on complaint resolution upon receipt from customers

  • Communicate issues to sales personnel for resolution.

  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

  • Fully supports Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at strategic and tactical levels including reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities to initiate projects or communicate ideas to management as well as active participation on project teams.

  • Any additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. or Associates Degree preferred. High school graduate or equivalent required.

  • 0 3 years of progressive customer service and/or marketing experience preferred.

  • Must be Microsoft Office literate including Microsoft Work, Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must be computer literate and be able to operate multiple office machines.

  • SAP experience preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills are required.

  • Must be willing and able to work within a team environment and show initiative in taking on new tasks.

  • Must be detailed oriented.

  • Must be able to work in a pressured environment with rigid deadlines, and be willing to work overtime when required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
