Job duties:
The Fiscal Technician II performs professional duties in the managing of data collection, production, reporting and delivery of various services.
Review Special Pay Requests for Foster Care Client forms for missed foster care board payments. Verify placement is updated in CAPSS prior to initiating payment in the CAPSS system. Determine if an overpayment has occurred as a result of receiving a special pay request form. If overpayment is confirmed, the overpayment process for regular foster care is completed.
Maintain excel spreadsheet of recoupments and overpayments to include any refunds that have been received by the agency as a result. Assist Accounts Receivable in providing any necessary funding codes for posting refunds appropriately. If necessary, modify the requirements document to have overpayments documented in CAPSS. Participate in testing prior to CAPSS implementation.
Generate special payments in CAPSS for emergency placements.
Research and reissue returned clothing and supplemental checks, if applicable. Serve as back up for the initial clothing allowance issuance.
Maintain excel spreadsheet of foster care and adoption payments to show total dollar amounts and number of checks/EFT's that are processed on the monthly billing cycles.
Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty or services as directed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Requirements:
A high school diploma and entry-level experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
A Bachelor's Degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for required work experience.
