Position Description:

This Reports Developer is responsible for all aspects of Business Intelligence for the project. This individual will contribute to the reports development effort, including eliciting report requirements from clients, developing reports using SAP Business Objects, maintenance and modification of Business Objects Universes, testing reports for accuracy and performance, and documenting testing results. The programmer analyst will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of ETL processes.

The programmer analyst will need to juggle numerous tasks simultaneously and be able to coordinate communication with colleagues and report risk and status to team lead or manager. The programmer analyst should be able to quickly assimilate into the team and learn the company's software development methodologies.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Extensive experience in developing reports using SAP Crystal Reports tool

  • Experience in SAP Business Objects Universes and ad-hoc reporting tool SAP Web Intelligence

  • Experience in Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading using various ETL tools

  • Develop complex SQL Queries for analyzation of data from various databases like IBM DB2 and Oracle

  • Interact with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand and analyze the requirements and ensure on-time delivery of the quality code

  • Expert in SQL queries, PL/SQL scripts, Functions, Views and Stored Procedures on large relational databases

  • Develop ETL mappings and work flow using IBM DB2 Warehouse based on the requirements and technical design

  • Develop custom ETLs using PL/SQL and well-versed with shell scripts

  • Interact with DBAs for creation, modification of tables and maintenance of data sources

  • Ability to support Autosys Batch jobs and resolve the issues

  • Experience working in Agile environment

  • Involve in performance tuning of ETL jobs, SQL Queries, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks at various levels

  • Familiarity with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software development best practices

  • Analyze business requirements and create functional requirements specifications

  • Support Production issues and implement the code fix for defects

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • -SAP Business Objects (including BI Launchpad, Universes, Webi, CMC, Information Design Tool)
  • -Proficient with SQL
  • -Experience with DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
  • -Relational Data Modeling (including Star Schema)
  • -Data Warehouse concepts and design
  • -Familiarity with application server technology (IBM WebSphere or similar)
  • -Familiarity with Unix environments (RHEL, AIX)
  • -Shell scripting
  • -Extract, Transform & Load methodology (using Pervasive Data Integrator (PDI))
  • -Familiarity with SDLC (Requirements gathering, testing, QA)
  • -ERP Experience (SAP, CGI Advantage)

Education

  • -Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
