Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Reporting & BI Analyst to join our team in Cypress, CA. The Reporting & BI Analyst, as part of the Data Management/Analytics team, will be responsible for playing a key role in managing and extracting insights from our data infrastructure. This will include, but is not limited to, building and maintaining ETL processes, administering and monitoring automated systems, performing user administration tasks, and writing complex SQL queries to fulfill data requests. Analysis will be presented in the most appropriate formats using modern BI tools to ensure easy, concise interpretation.
What you'll be doing:
Design and develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources including files, Oracle database tables, and APIs into AWS and Snowflake.
Understand business needs/requirements and translate that understanding into a form that leads to the creation of innovative solutions in the reporting and analytics space.
Extract information from existing data structures and models, rigorously inspecting data to ensure accuracy, compiling the data in a useful format, and sharing thoughtful analysis to appropriate users and teams.
Prepare visual diagrams of analytics models, functionality, and report specs. Understand and actively support YMFC-US BI architecture and strategy.
Administer and monitor automated data loading/ETL scripts (SAS/Informatica Cloud ( IICS)) used for data analysis and reporting. Includes debugging/troubleshooting and validation/detail monitoring to make sure data is accurate and up to date.
Keep management and end-users apprised of any system issues, events, or anomalies that may affect system performance or availability.
What you'll need to be successful:
Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience in data visualization and reporting.
Strong experience in data capture and data queries using BI tools and databases (e.g., SAP Analytics on Cloud, Tableau, Snowflake, Oracle etc.)
Ability to use Microsoft Excel to look at data/prepare data for consumption.
Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment
Experience in consumer lending and financial analysis is a plus

The pay range for this position is $77,670 to $88,370. Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is part of Yamaha's Total Reward program, our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress.
