Job Summary:

3 day work week! Great schedule, only working 3 days, 10 hour shifts. As a Rental Fleet Coordinator at Murdock Hyundai of Lindon, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operations of our rental car services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, adeptness in various responsibilities including phone interactions and administrative tasks, and flexibility in working hours.

Working Conditions:

  • Weekly Commitment: Approximately 35 hours per week, with potential for transitioning to a 40-hour workweek.

  • Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday from 8 am to 7 pm, and a 5-hour shift on Fridays.

  • Work Environment: Office and outdoor settings with occasional vehicle inspection and movement.

  • Support: Training provided for success in the role.

Starting Pay: $16.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Rental Operations: Support day-to-day rental car operations, including vehicle check-in/check-out, reservations, and ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.

  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service to walk-in and phone-in customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive rental experience.

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Monitor rental vehicle conditions, schedule maintenance, and coordinate with staff for fleet upkeep.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate rental records, contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vehicle inventory to meet demand.

  • Training: Assist in training new staff and ensure team members are well-versed in rental processes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Service Admin and Lead Rental Car Coordinator to ensure efficient operations.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Available for Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday from 8 am to 7 pm, and a 5-to-7-hour shift on Fridays.

  • Close Repair orders: Quickly and accurately close payments on the repair orders that pass through the service department.

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Experience: Essential, preferably in rental car or automotive settings.

  • Quick Learner: Ability to adapt swiftly to new processes and systems.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for effective customer and team interaction.

  • Phone Handling: Proficiency in handling phone inquiries and assisting customers.

  • Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail in managing agreements, vehicle conditions, and administrative tasks.
