Job Summary

Carolina Handling is actively seeking a Rental Coordinator in the Atlanta area. The primary responsibilities of this position are to coordinate rental equipment functions with other departments and customers, assure timely delivery of equipment, and provide exceptional customer service resulting in product loyalty and customer retention. The Rental Coordinator will also prepare timely and accurate invoicing, prepare month-end reporting, and maintain computer system integrity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determine the proper equipment needs per application

  • Schedule the equipment to be rental ready, and delivered in a timely manner

  • Responsible for all tracking and billing of internal and external cartage costs

  • Responsible for invoicing customer in a timely manner

  • Work with accounting on all past due accounts

  • Receive all new rental equipment and assign proper ID numbers

  • Maintain computer system integrity

  • Prepare and produce management reports

  • Secure equipment from Raymond and other dealers as required

  • Maintain and monitor truck drivers per DOT guidelines and company procedures

  • Previous rental equipment background or industry experience is preferred, but not required

  • Perform charger adjustments such as connectors, fuses, line voltage, etc.

Skills and qualifications needed include:

  • Basic Mechanical understanding

  • High school or equivalent minimum, Associate Degree or 2 - 3 years appropriate experience

  • Excellent customer skills

  • Basic PC knowledge and data entry skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to interact with team members to develop good working relationships

  • Strong mental ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure or stress

  • Excellent communications skills: written, verbal and listening

  • Must exhibit detail orientation and ability to juggle priorities
