WSB is looking for a talented and motivated candidate for solar Civil Design Engineer role to join our renewable energy team. Qualified candidates must be proficient with the detailed design and plan preparation for utility-scale solar projects. If you are civil engineer with 2+ years of design experience looking for that next step in your career as a strong renewable design lead, this may be the position for you.

What you will do:

• Prepare the conceptual, preliminary, and final design and specifications that are complete, accurate and in accordance with utility-scale solar engineering practices.

• Demonstrate design ownership

• Involved with the resolution of design challenges and tackle those challenges efficiently by thinking out-of-the-box thinking and using creativity

• Perform design computations and calculations related to the civil site design, mass grading and earth work calculation

• Work closely with the Director of Renewables and the design team to understand technical needs and identify most efficient solution(s)

• Work closely with other engineering staff across multiple disciplines

• Less than 10% travel required for this job

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

• Ideal candidates would have 2+ years of experience in utility-scale solar energy sector

• The successful candidate shall be able to conduct the detailed engineering design or major portions of engineering effort on multiple utility scale solar projects and for solar facilities with complex topographic site.

• Understanding of utility scale solar mass grading design in addition to earthwork calculations, road design, erosion and sediment control applications and drainage studies is required

• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D

• We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong commitment to technical excellence

• Will need to be a self-starter and be able to manage working between many different projects at the same time
