INPATIENT HEMODIALYSIS UNIT Seeking RN with minimum 1 year Hemodialysis experience in a level 1 or 2 facility. Candidate must be able to administer medications, skilled in administering a multitude of blood products and drawing off labs. Strong nurse assessment skills a must. Ideal candidate with extensive experience and skilled in related area. Previous traveler experience required NCBON and/or Compact License required Shift: 12 hr shifts starting at 7a, 8a, or 9am, except when they are working as late nurse which can be up to 16 hrs. Late nurse and weekend requirements twice per four week schedule, and holidays.

BLS/ACLS Required NC RN or Compact License Required Previous Travel Experience from a Level 1 Trauma center File must have min of 2 current references (one reference must be from an Asst. NM or higher)

Department Profile: The General Medicine/Dialysis Unit 5-1 at Duke Regional Hospital is comprised of a 36-bed Medical Unit. Our team is active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time. The patient population on this unit includes patients with diagnoses such as end stage renal disease, COPD, CHF, diabetes, and pneumonia. Nurses would have the opportunity to learn skills such as managing Insulin drips, telemetry monitoring, and peritoneal dialysis. This unit is ideal for nurses who enjoy working with older adults in an environment that is supportive of teamwork and patient centered care.
