Please review the following job description:

Market and manage, including the administration of, new and existing accounts for the Mental Health Risk Retention Group (MHRRG).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1.Appointed to the board in an officer capacity as a Vice President of the Mental Health Risk Retention Group (MHRRG).

2.Manage new or enhanced business opportunities for the MHRRG by: Recruiting and cultivating new clients through traditional marketing efforts as well as attendance at association meetings, functions and trade shows.

3.Create, implement and maintain action plans to establish new relationships with relevant CEO's, CFO's and Executive Directors and convert them into shareholder insureds

4.Servicing and oversight of all existing relationships

5.Continuous evaluation of product & service marketability go MHRRG in order to meet customers' needs and stay competitive

6.Maintaining current knowledge base of industry trends, target markets and competition and sharing that with Negley staff

7.Planning and attending trade shows, association meetings and events.

8.Work with President and actuaries to set incurred but not reported (IBNR) levels.

9.Maintain the MHRRG website and inventory of marketing materials.



  1. Approve expenses for payment of MHRRG board appointed vendors.

  2. Manage audits in conjunction with Negley staff

  3. Oversee MHRRG claims handling agreement with Third Party Administrator and work with Negley and Nationwide staff to ensure claims process is working efficiently and accurately

  4. Comply with FCC and other legal requirements and guidelines regarding marketing distribution.

  5. Meet or exceed established budgetary goals and marketing sales.

  6. Serve as primary Negley contact for sales and underwriting for MHRRG

  7. Work with MHRRG Board and Negley Management to develop targeted marketing materials, distribution and messages that align with the overall marketing strategy.

  8. Implement and communicate relevant regulatory changes for the MHRRG.

  9. Gather and revise pertinent information into a useable and useful format.

  10. Provide market intelligence and expertise to maximize renewals.

  11. Cross sell and market Negley products to MHRRG member to strengthen relationships and provide additional solutions

  12. Communicate relevant contacts to Negley Underwriters for all new business opportunities and be primarily responsible for ensuring all aspects of the process is done effectively and efficiently until completion.

  13. Working with Negley staff and contracted MHRRG vendors, etc. oversee that all MHRRG marketing and sales, accounting functions, stock program, actuarial and investment activities are done in a timely and accurate manner.

  14. Working with outside general counsel and Negley staff oversee the IRMP Loss Control program for all MHRRG members.

  15. Prepare all agendas, PowerPoints, exhibits, liaison with outside vendors to ensure all presentations are received and on point, maintain notes, follow up on all outstanding action items, coordinate with mhca staff on meeting times, accommodations, menus, for all Board meetings and audit meetings, including keeping minutes, etc.

  16. Primary representative for MHRRG with NRRA and VCIA

  17. Complete ad hoc reports, projects and other initiatives as directed by the President

  18. Institutionalize, develop and maintain operating manuals for all of the above activities as to ensure efficient knowledge transfer and continuous uninterrupted operation of MHRRG


QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1.Bachelor's degree in relevant field

2.Five years of insurance experience or its equivalent

3.Previous insurance marketing or compliance experience

4.Previous financial or accounting experience

5.Must possess and maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry

6.Must be able to understand and analyze complex accounting, insurance and regulatory information and disseminate any relevant information

7.Recognize new trends and developments in the insurance industry and be able to incorporate into workable strategy

8.Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities

9.Ability to develop, foster, and maintain an excellent working relationships



  1. Good written and verbal skills

  2. Maintain travel as required

  3. Ability to work extended hours when necessary


Preferred Qualifications:

1.Master's degree

2.Previous reinsurance or reinsurance accounting experience

3.Previous insurance marketing, reinsurance or reinsurance accounting, or compliance experience

4.Highly organized with an attention to detail and ability to consistently meet deadlines
