Remote Mechanical Engineering Department Lead

Job Description:

• Mechanical Engineering Manager (PE Required) with leading retail architecture firm

• This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to work with professionals in the design, coordination, and project management of mechanical engineering

• The successful candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing all aspects of mechanical design and construction, including the development of innovative and cost-effective designs, project management, and team management

• Proven experience leading the development of MEP system designs in-house

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and industry best practices

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders

• Proficiency in AutoCAD

• Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards

This person will be hired initially as a full time W2 consultant of Actalent Services providing support to the A/E firm. After supporting the firm for 12 months, you will eligible to transition to their firm as a direct employee. As an Actalent Employee this person will be provided full benefits (medical, dental, vision), PTO and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

• PE licensure

• 5+ years of MEP experience

• Experience managing people a plus

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
