Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to coordinate mechanical & utility design and oversee the construction of factories used in the production of wet and dry pet food, and pet treats. As our Mechanical Engineer, you will offer technical expertise in project scope development and manage design consultants & contractors from project inception to installation. Primary responsibilities include: broad knowledge of mechanical utility systems, technology, equipment, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) generation and review infield; engagement with the corporate engineering team for project coordination; onsite management of mechanical/utility construction for capital projects; field observations and equipment & utility commissioning oversight during construction; review and approval of contractor means and methods for construction at operational factories; review and evaluation of feasibility and cost estimates by contractors for existing and new factory sites and buildings. This position requires onsite presence at the factory location for the duration of the project, with some travel to St. Louis for training and design coordination.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Batavia, Ohio.

Work Environment

The chosen candidate will be working in a manufacturing plant that is dedicated to creating pet food. Onsite presence at the factory location for the duration of the project is necessary, with some travel required for training and design coordination.
