Remote Civil Structural Engineer

Position Description

• Ensure consistent compliance of civil, structural and architectural engineering standards, policies, and procedures with regulatory standards and alignment with Cargill's global and regional standards.

• Propose recommendations in areas of improvement and implement solutions to improve performance and identify acceptable risk tolerance for build projects.

• Provide civil, structural and architectural engineering support required for build projects.

• Contribute to safety and engineering recommendations to enhance performance, cost, efficiency, and schedule.

• Support civil, structural and architectural engineering deliverables in capital projects.

• Support multiple capital projects at once.

• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

• Minimum of seven years of related work experience.

• Experience with complex and multi-disciplinary engineering projects.

• Experience with Petro/Chemical or Power Generation Facilities.

• Frequent interaction with internal and external personnel often requiring coordination between departments.

• Professional Engineering License in Structural or Civil Engineering discipline.

• Experience with IBC, ASCE, OSHA, ACI, AISC and Process Industry Practices (PIP).

• Ability to evaluate and select engineering solutions and technologies.

• Ability to work in a remote environment with virtual teams
