Founded in 1986, the San Manuel Casino has built a strong reputation as a premier gaming establishment with over 130 table games, drawing patrons from the greater Los Angeles area as well as other regions of Southern California.

Under the direction of the Table Games Shift Manager (Shift Manager), the Table Games Relief Shift Manager is responsible for assisting the Shift Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Table Games department. This position functions as a relief position to the Shift Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists the Shift Manager in the daily operations of the table games on a shift by shift basis.

  • Interacts with the guests and team members in a professional, friendly and respectful manner.

  • Informs team members of any pertinent information necessary for the effective operation of the table games.

  • Informs the Director of Table Games of all pertinent shift activity.

  • Prepares daily reports pertaining to shift activity.

  • Resolves any guest disputes or conflicts that may arise.

  • Ensures that all guests are provided with quality customer service.

  • Works with Surveillance in detecting and taking action against any possible cheating or fraud.

  • Performs the duties as described in the job description for Shift Manager when working as a Relief Shift Manager.

  • Performs the duties of a Floor Supervisor as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor's degree or Vocational/Technical certification preferred.

  • Minimum six (6) years casino table games experience required.

  • Minimum one (1) year casino table games supervisory experience required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company's insurance carrier.

The Table Games Floor Supervisor may conduct a variety of casino poker games along with providing prompt and courteous service to all gaming patrons. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Greeting guests in a courteous and friendly manner. * Ensuring that all guests receive a high level of quality service. * Explaining and interpreting the rules of the games to guests. * Supervising the operations of the games in their section. * Monitoring the games, players and dealers to ensure maximum game protection. * Ensuring that all gaming policies, rules and procedures are adhered to. * Accurately tracking the table drop and monitoring player wins and table wins/losses. * Maintaining the proper chip inventory for all tables and determining the need for fills/credits. * Understanding and adhering to all Title 31 procedures. * Fills out various work related forms including Title 31, multiple transaction logs. * Correcting errors on the games and making game related decisions. * Dealing effectively with guest problems/complaints. * Coordinating and scheduling the opening and closing of all games. * Verifying and awarding jackpots and other promotional winners. * Responding to requests for set-ups, service, chips and table changes. * Supervising the work of the team members under their authority and evaluating their performance. * Assists with dealer rotations and breaks. * Responds to requests for set-ups, service, chips and table changes. * Verifies and awards jackpots and other promotional winners. * Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
