NOV Sales Aftermarket team is recruiting for a Reliability Project Engineer to join our team at the Houston Richmond Avenue location. The main responsibilities of this role include:
Group specific responsibilities:
The primary role is to identify and manage equipment reliability risks that could adversely affect equipment performance, safety, or operational efficiencies. Work with NOV Project Responsible Engineers and CM Engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and existing installations.
Gathers and continuously evaluates relevant equipment data from all necessary sources To include, but not limited to, customer CMMS, and internal Failure Report and Quality Systems.
Develop analysis methods to determine reliability of components, equipment, and processes.
Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports to define reliability problems.
Propose maintenance, repair, or upgrade recommendations based on outcome of reliability data analysis.
Assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of equipment failures
Work closely with Product Engineering and make informed recommendations for equipment enhancements that will help to maximise equipment reliability performance
Evaluate applicable NOV Product Notifications (PIB, PIN, POB, SA) and provide recommendations for whether to install them.
Facilitate FMECA and RCM workshops.
Review customer maintenance routines against that of OEM recommendations
Project Manage customer reliability accounts and ensure timely action and closure of reliability related issues
Develop and maintain customer relations to ensure collaborative effort of reliability related issues
Comply with NOV company HSE policies and procedures
Knowledge of Reliability Engineering concepts to include:
Classification of equipment failures
Fault Tree Analysis
Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) requirements
Statistical analysis Mean Time Between failures (MTBF), Weibull analysis
Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
Understanding of maintenance strategies to include, Run to Failure, Preventative, Predictive, and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
Proficient in use of Excel to include creation and use of pivot tables

Qualifications Education & Experience Qualifications
Experience within Oil and Gas industry would be preferred especially within a maintenance or reliability related role.
