  • Conduct root cause analyses (RCA), according to business rules, confirm implementation and effectiveness of countermeasures, and establishing priority for performed work based on data-driven approach.

  • Develop and optimize equipment maintenance and inspection strategies and standard work instructions.

  • Assist in the development of autonomous maintenance processes in collaboration with process engineers and reliability operators.

  • Analyze the predictive maintenance data and initiate follow-on corrective work.

  • Develop and optimize equipment repair, spares strategies, and standards.

  • Assigned to specific equipment: Rotating Equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.)

  • Provide reliability and maintainability input to the design of new projects, standardization and selection of equipment/parts and components.

  • Provide technical authority input and expert advice for Management of Changes, fitness for service, repair specifications (major equip), deferrals, and barrier failures.

  • Provides coaching on reliability and maintainability of equipment processes

  • Align with contractors to reduce cost and promote continuous improvement initiatives


  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment

  • Minimum 2+ years field operations experience (e.g., process engineer, facilities engineer)

  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft, SAP)

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail and process improvements

  • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment

Please check your email on a daily basis. Repair wooden railroad bridges, trestles, and tunnel supports; repair/replace structural steel members of bridges. Perform concrete and conventional carpentry work. Work is primarily outdoors - all weather conditions. Work is on/near roofs, bridges, and rails. Work on track bridges involves exposure to passing trains. Study blueprints, building plans, or sketches for information pertaining to fabrication for type of material required and dimension of structure/fixture. Replace rails or assist crew in rail replacement. Lay out work, mark cutting and assembly lines. Assemble, cut, shape material and fasten together with nails, dowel pins, glue, other appropriate fasteners. Build stairs, windows, doors; lay out and install partitions and cabinet work. Fit and install fabricated windows, doorframes, weather stripping, interior/exterior trim, and hardware such as locks, letter drops, kick plates. Apply various roofs/roofing materials, to include: hot/cold application, shingles, corrugated sheets. Pour ready-mixed concrete and finished concrete surfaces per specification. Perform concrete work tasks in construction, maintenance, repair of tunnels and culverts. Cut and weld steel members to make alterations; fasten steel members to hoist cable. Comply with company and federal safety rules, policies and procedures such as: wear required safety equipment; respond to and act on safety concerns.
