  • Ability to make strong relationships with all of the RS Specialists, RS Technicians and clients in the JHC/CWX territory

  • Have a customer service attitude and be positive in all interactions. Integrity is key in reliability.

  • Support and implement the following:

  • Vibration Program development, full execution or augmentation

  • Root Cause/Bad Actor Consultation

  • Motion Amplification Video studies

  • Operating Deflection Shapes (ODS) studies

  • Dynamic pressure collection from positive displacement and centrifugal equipment

  • Acoustical Induced Vibration (AIV) or Flow Induced Vibration (FIV) studies

  • Transient, periodic or random. Can include continuous monitoring.

  • Structure or piping, including vessels and heat exchangers

  • Reciprocating compressor machine pulsation studies

  • Harmonic and resonance studies, natural frequency determination

  • Operating exclusion zone determination

  • Vortex shedding, flow turbulence, cavitation studies

  • Valve noise and acoustic fatigue studies

  • Fluidelastic Instability studies

  • API 670 Machinery Protection System design, installation and lifecycle care

  • Alignment oversight

  • Mechanical seal evaluation and design support

  • Shop documentation and testing including loaded run analysis

  • Motor field testing

  • Infrared thermography on electrical and mechanical

  • Criticality ranking, FMEA, RCM

  • Have a detailed understanding of all of JHCs RS/Emeron's CSI products and services. This includes the hardware and software, and its application and details that establish the fundamental reason why the client would insist on buying our products and services. This hardware and software is as follows, but is not limited to:

  • CSI 2140, CSI 9330, CSI 9420, CSI 6500 ATG, CSI 6500 Prediction, and all of the accessories that accompany the hardware

  • Complete understanding of AMS Machinery Health Manager (MHM), and PlantWeb OPTICS (as it is introduced), Machine Studio, Emerson's Process World and Service Management Systems. Some familiarity of AMS Device Manager.

  • Thorough understanding of all the different type of sensors (i.e.-accelerometers, tachometers, eddy current proximity probes, converters/proximitors, thermocouples /RTDs). Connectors and boots of the sender to the wiring. Wiring integrity and common industrial routing of wiring and supports (cable tray and conduit). Voltage checks of accelerometers. Field setting of proximity probes. Voltage readings at the converter. Linearity checks of prox/converter sets.

  • Guardian Support and Lifecycle support systems for hardware and software

  • Knowledge to explain wireless (WiHART and WiFi) systems, and their configuration

  • Knowlege of computer systems as related to our hardware and software

  • Knowledge of computer systems and related to our hardware and software. Familiarity of network architectures and the typical Purdue model of industrial process systems.

  • Schedule and follow all RS personnel and their associated PdM contracts or service projects.

o Interact with client contacts for the timely completion of recurring contracts, with acceptable notice for RS personnel. Keep a daily calendar of upcoming needs, which personnel will fulfill the need and daily location of RS personnel.

o Schedule emergency requests and "one-off" requests given the available RS personnel, and current demands to meet the client needs.

o Ensure billable hours are maximized in all endeavors. Follow the Specialist and Technician in their daily plans and billable hours each day. Check to ensure that PO committed hours are not exceeded and communicate to the RS Group Director if hours of an existing contract need to be extended.

o Ensure Time Accounting is up-to-date and accurate from the reporting of RS personnel. Reconcile Time Accounting with PO for invoicing.

  • Assist the field service personnel in compiling a RS Health Report following a PdM program, online evaluation or troubleshooting / engineering effort:

o Follow the RS standard reporting format, ensure data is as accurate and consistent as possible

o Assist and document the various stages of design, configuration, FAT, installation and commissioning. Ensure the client is satisfied along the entire process.

  • Assist in program setup, including database, routes and the assisting the client in the details to make the program successful

o Responsible for communicating company deliverables to the client and for the accuracy and the timeliness of all internal and external. Assumes responsibility for communication and education between the company and clients. communications and reporting. Ability to submit documented case studies for customer.

o Understand, inquire and report clients' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

o Establish reporting and documentation needs that make recording metrics easily that yield KPIs to add value to the program.

o Grow to analyze data and write reports solely on their own.

  • Compile service proposals with guidance RS Business Director, Platform Specialists, RS Specialists and Technicians. Complete simple proposals on their own.

  • Ability to manage projects with little oversight. Show initiative.

  • If needed, make preliminary field visits to understand the scope and depth of the request.

o Assumes responsibility for the overall safety of the work environment. Responsible for ensuring compliance with company, client, OSHA, and other applicable standards. Perform Behavioral Safety Observations, and Job Safety Analysis, as needed. Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.

o If needed, assist the client in the concept and design of a solution

o Some lifting, bending and long-term standing required. Route data collect is a physical activity, and sometimes requires data acquisition in inclement weather. All are required to meet the demands of a reasonable and safe facility.

o Use of basic hand tools.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Available to work overtime including some weekends.

  • Able and willing to work on-call and off shift as required by customers or management.

  • Familiar with latest technical and commercial trends of reliability in industry

  • Promptly communicate issues or potential for competition or loss of ground with a client

  • to the appropriate role

  • Manage client expectations

  • Customer and technical support for clients

  • Participate in industry-specific technical organizations and networking

  • Daily reporting will be at the Baton Rouge JHC Airline Sales and Engineering office. Yet some traveling is required - the success candidate will be expected to travel when needed. All company expenses will be covered for travel and client entertainment. The ratio for travel could be 50% away from the Baton Rouge home office.

  • Work to complete or provide proof of exemption for Emerson's Professional Certification within one year of hire, and Expert Certification within two years.
