Dow has an exciting opening for a passionate Reliability Engineer to support the

Environmental Operations(EVO)plant in Midland, MI.

The ReliabilityEngineer (RE)will serve as the Reliability Engineer focal point for the facilities with responsibility to ensure that theEVO plant achieves best in class reliability targets.

The RE leads continued implementation of the Improve Reliability Work Process (IRWP) which includes implementation of facility and equipment reliability strategies, solving reliability and availability losses through application of reliability technology, implementation of Highly Reliable Organization (HRO) tenets for the assigned facilities and mentor the unit maintenance and run plant engineers implementing a reliability centered culture (RCC). The RE is responsible for using the full breadth of reliability work processes, Six Sigma methodology, reliability tools, and resources to improve long term cost of ownership and achieve reliability growth.

TheEVO Plant is an extremely integrated plant within the Dow Silicones business, with a very large manufacturing base and Technology Center. Our production plants employ diverse unit operations, practice a wide variety of chemistries, and operate at high capacity to meet customer demand..

The Reliability Engineer (RE) will align to theEVO Production Leader and has primary responsibility to implement the Reliability Strategy.The RE will work closely with the

Reliability and Maintenance organization along with the Site Reliability Manager and other Zone Reliability Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement a Reliability Centered Culture.
Facilitate implementation of the HRO principles within both facilities, building strong partnerships and coaching/teaching as needed.
Develop and implement the Equipment Reliability Strategies and Facility Reliability Strategy.
Decrease equipment failure losses in order to meet the site Product Supply Reliability improvement goals for the given year.
Perform Root Cause Investigations for unplanned events to prevent recurrence and drive Root Cause Effectiveness initiatives.
Identify key learning with significant value and ensure leverage across site, business and regional networks.
Provide front end loading support for plant Turnarounds.
Create afacility opportunity lists and close gaps by implementing solutions.
Be an active and participating member of the Site/Regional Reliability Engineering Network (REN).
Befluent inusing the reliability engineering tools including the use of Meridium analytics.
Work with Dow Technology Center and Technical Support expertise as needed to achieve job objectives.
Assist maintenance representatives and project teams to design reliability, availability, and maintainability into new plants and equipment systems using GPM work process discipline.
Lead PPM development and optimization efforts.
Assist Maintenance and Productivity Leader as needed with leadership support for Zone activities and assist in annual maintenance budget setting process.
Be a technical resource for critical equipment rebuild procedures supporting quality control and provide advanced technical assistance to Operations and Maintenance personnel for acute and chronic issues within your expertise.

The Reliability Engineer reports to the Site Maintenance Leader and is responsible to successfully implement reliability requests for the site and plants. In this role, you will provide support to the Maintenance and Operations department's as needed based on needs to achieve a Highly Reliable Organization. You will be tasked to oversee, implement, track and verify the reliability goals and initiatives for new plant projects and ongoing facilities related reliability concerns. We collaborate closely within our team and our ideal candidate would be a positive, team-player who is open to share, as well as listen to, new ideas. We are looking for a Reliability Engineer who is a familiar with CMMS systems. The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following: * Develop an in-depth knowledge base of the Corteva reliability goals including but not limited to reliability of systems and equipment related to critical equipment identification and tracking, failure mode and effects analysis, mechanical integrity and change management requirements. * Determine critical equipment, include all new and existing projects and coordinate reliability needs accordingly. * Drive effective use of CMMS and aids in developing a planned maintenance environment using CMMS tools. PM/PD plans and work order systems. * Work with project and facility engineers to ensure all reliability components are appropriately accounted for and documented in accordance with maintenance and operational requirements. Especially in regards to identifying failure modes, spare parts, and maintenance plans. * Provide consultation for mechanical integrity as it relates to OSHA, Dow/DuPont and other global safety institutes. Knowledgeable with non-destructive testing techniques and applications. * Conducting FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). * Developing strategies to replace equipment and facility components at end of life. * Develop and write specifications for Reliability work processes to drive strategy and create standardization. * Utilization of RCI (Root Cause Investigation) process or similar problem solving techniques. * Maintain technical expertise through seminars, trade journals, and contacts with various vendors and industry groups/ associations. * Establish project scope and execute with facility engineers, operations/maintenance departments and local leadership as a result of reliability deficiencies found. Approximately 15% of time. * Verify project construction activities meet the intent of reliability goals and initiatives. * Understand, observe, and assure that all projects adhere to Corteva standards for environmental, safety, security, and loss prevention/reliability principles. * Provide technical support and training to the Maintenance and Operations Departments as well as general site departments. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline or related field * Experience with Computer Maintenance Software * Experience with commissioning or retro-commissioning of facilities. * Ability and willingness to walk site premises and climb ladders with or without reasonable accommodation. * Basic knowledge of building operations including but not limited to equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, compressors, etc. through either work or academic experience. * Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of people from internal upper management to maintenance and operations personnel including union and non-union contract labor, companies and management. Preferred Qualifications: * CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional). * Proficient using CMMS software and experience with the inventory/spare parts functionality. * Have a general knowledge of engineering disciplines including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, controls and automation through either work or academic experience. #LI-BB1 Corteva, Inc.
