Overview

This position is on the staff of a government consulting firm located in Tysons, VA. The Release Deployment Coordinator will work on-site at the client organization located in Richmond, VA. This role provides support to all Release activities for the GCSS Army system and works closely with the Program Management Leadership, Release Architect and Lead Software Integrator personnel. The Release Deployment Coordinator will also be required to provide support on all GCSS Army Increment 2 (Aviation Logistics) integration requirements with the GCSS Army Increment 1 baseline, as well as all associated working groups and meetings. This requirement will most likely require traveling to the Huntsville area in support of mission. Will also act as backup to the Product Portfolio Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates development of Release Notes

  • Coordinates development of Release Deployment Plans

  • Provides Release Deployment messaging preparatory activity through post implementation

  • Provides backup to Portfolio Coordinator

  • Provides support to all meetings and working groups

  • Provide support on all GCSS Army Increment 2 (Aviation Logistics) integration requirements with the GCSS Army Increment 1 baseline, as well as all associated working groups and meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience relevant to the position

  • 5+ years' experience with ERP systems (in Release Management, Change Management, Development/Configuration, Testing)

  • 3+ years' experience with program / project scheduling

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment and with multiple stakeholders across the GCSS Army program

  • Must be able to present ideas, concerns, and information in a clear and concise manner to all levels of Government and Program personnel

  • Must be able to pass a background check and ability to obtain CAC card

  • May require occasional travel to Northern Virginia or Huntsville, AL

  • Previous knowledge and experience with GCSS Army

  • ServiceNow experience is a plus

  • PMP Certification is a plus
