Release Engineer

The Role

We are looking for a Release Engineer to manage EMEA platform releases, working alongside other business units and being the point person for discussion regarding releases of platform.

This role will work and be a key part of the team, working with peer release engineers, product owners and product managers across multiple regions, facilitating and coordinating modern, iterative, agile approaches to software delivery.

What You'll Do

• Be the SME for the product teams regarding releases.

• Continually work towards making improvements in the release process

• Manage and facilitate Go/No-Go meetings.

• Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.

• Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes

• Display thought leadership, drive process, and support work/life balance initiatives.

• Collaboration with business, technical and creative partners to ensure timely delivery of capabilities launch readiness, communications.

• Ability to embrace change and a constant appetite to learn.

• Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes

• Bring everyone in the team together and aligned using clear communication and strong structured thinking.

What You'll Bring

• Experience in working with multi skilled delivery teams

• Knowledge in SAFe or Scrum at Scale will be a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication (English)

• Good Stakeholder management, strong communicator at all development levels

• Customer facing and commercially orientated

• Recognize inefficiency and have the drive to recommend / implement improvements

• Excellent organization and ability to prioritize time

• Passion for Delivery.

• Adaptable and flexible to meet workload demands

• Demonstrated pro-activity in capitalizing on opportunities and resolving issues

• Have managed Third Party Suppliers

• Understands SaaS solutions.

• Gain a detailed understanding of the products within the region.

• Build relationships at all levels of the organization, gaining the respect of colleagues to establish yourself as the go-to delivery expert.

• Working with Product Owners cross borders to establish standard and accepted ways of working within the Product Delivery teams.

• Project delivery experience will be a plus
