Take the first step in learning about international trade and supply chain management with North America's #1 company in customs brokerage! This is an exciting opportunity to join our National Service Center, based in Itasca, IL. This is an entry level position that includes a training program to ensure that team members have the right tools and resources to complete their jobs from day one. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for the timely entry, processing, and release of Customs Entries. This position has excellent career growth and previous industry experience is not required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage an electronic queue of pending documents to ensure accurate and timely processing of air or ocean shipments for major clients

  • Review, track and interpret documents related to each shipment moving through the supply chain.

  • Prepare customs entries for all shipments to be submitted to and released from U.S. Customs

  • Utilize the documents, work standards, and system technology to precisely complete the data entry for each shipment

  • Prioritize and complete work according to client demands, Customs requirements and Livingston standards

  • Participate and support other team members with accounts and workload on day-to-day operations including setting priorities, organizing, scheduling work and problem solving

  • Coordinate carrier release by submitting required bills of lading and freight payments

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Entry level, no related experience required. Experience in brokerage, supply chain, and logistics is ideal.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills including oral and written

  • Client Service Oriented interpersonal skills with internal/external clients and coworkers

  • Ability to handle large volumes and meet tight deadlines

  • Attention to detail; organization, completeness and accuracy

  • Good analytical skills with problem-solving ability

  • Ability to make decisions and recommendations within authorized limitations

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to present a professional image

  • Knowledge of Word and Excel software

Reporting to the Manager of Service Delivery, the Release Customs Analyst is responsible for the timely release of client shipments, accurate keying of information and correct billing of all client air and ocean shipments. As a member of the Client Team, this role ensures that all entries are released, classified and billed accurately and within Livingston International's service standards, to earn the clients' complete satisfaction. This is an entry level position that includes a 12-week paid training program to ensure that team members have the right tools and resources to complete their jobs from day one. Responsibilities: * Identify incoming client documents to ensure required information is received. Input into our system database * Notify customers of missing documents * Obtain arrival information from carrier's offices or websites * Coordinate and prepare Customs entry summaries and update system databases * Communicate shipment status to customers via fax, phone or email * Processing client invoices * Maintain effective relationship with clients, carriers, Customs etc. * Participate and support other team members with accounts and workload on day-to-day operations including setting priorities, organizing, scheduling work and problem solving * Coordinate carrier release by submitting required bills of lading and freight payments * Monitor customs release Qualifications: * NO INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! * High School Diploma or Equivalent * Intermediate to Advanced computer, web navigation, and data entry skills * Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) * 1-2+ years of customer service, sales, or other direct customer support role * Ability to prioritize and multitask * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment * Must be avaialble to work 5:00pm - 1:30AM Monday - Friday Livingston Intl Taylor MI
