Relationship Manager, Sales - Chicago based

This role will sell integrated opportunities across the Working Mother Media portfolio which includes Working Mother, Diversity Best Practices and Culture@Work. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success using consultative selling to position and close integrated packages to clients.
A growth and entrepreneurial mindset is required to build the business. Active contacts at client companies are preferred. The position is based in Chicago and will require some travel at the appropriate time given the pandemic.
This entrepreneurial position will require a mindset of diversity and inclusion a well as human resources and talent strategy to better communicate the value of Working Mother Media and its divisions.
The candidate will need to be self-motivated, a strong communicator, and possess strong collaboration skills.
Use consultative selling skills to determine the needs of our clients and how we can best help them meet their objectives.
Cultivate, develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers at the highest levels as well as day to day contacts.
Use various sales support technology and data to help effectively deliver our message to clients
Provide accurate and timely business estimates, forecasts, paperwork/administration
Service existing accounts, renew business and establish new accounts by identifying and calling on prospective clients
Create and deliver proposals that reflect the client's goals and objectives
Work with colleagues to produce required proposals and any sales collateral as needed
Follow-up with clients to ensure questions are answered in a timely manner, deadlines are met and commitments are finalized within the proper timeline
Complete all required paperwork to execute sold programs
Coordinate billing options / instructions
Maintain up-to-date contact information for clients
Manage individual sales pipeline and provide regular territory analysis
Increase knowledge of diversity and inclusion by attending member conferences, reading research reports and participating in advisory/consulting calls with clients
Forecast sales on a weekly basis
8-10 years of consultative sales experience preferably with knowledge of diversity and inclusion or equivalent
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding annual goals
Highly creative, strategic, and a progressive thinker
Strong written, verbal, design, organizational and presentation skills
Passion for diversity and inclusion
