Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Financial Institutions Group (FIG): Financial Institutions Group is one of nine major business lines within Wholesale Banking. It is a specialized coverage team responsible for global relationships with financial services providers. Relationships span across a broad range of industries, with clients including Banks, Insurance Companies, Asset Managers, Broker Dealers, Exchanges, Title and Escrow Companies, and Finance Companies.

FIG provides expertise and solutions focused on transaction banking, credit, and capital markets. FIG operates as four industry verticals

EIB Banks Coverage in the USA. Entities of International Banks (EIB) coverage team is part of the FIG Banks vertical and is responsible for relationships with Foreign Owned Banks operating in the USA.
FIG EIB Senior Relationship Manager Role
This position will report to the Head of Entities of International Banks ("EIB") Operating in the USA, a client vertical within the FIG Banks business focused on Foreign Bank Organizations (FBOs) operating within the continental USA. The team member who is selected for this position will be responsible for managing and growing revenues of an existing EIB portfolio of complex client relationships, as well as the development and execution of a business plan to grow revenues with prospective and under developed complex client relationships. Coverage responsibility will be across all products and services Wells Fargo can provide to these clients with the primary focus to build and maintain strong relationships, act as strategic advisor on new business initiatives and manage/coordinate business execution across all products with the client's senior management (Country Head, Treasurer, CFO, Head of ALM) and product area heads. Overall compliance, credit risk management & mitigation for the coverage portfolio is a critical aspect of this role. The role will also have some management oversight responsibilities of more junior RMs on the EIB team.
Develop and expand Wells Fargo's business with a portfolio of FBOs operating in the USA, with particular responsibility and focus on capital markets, bank-to-bank transaction services and compliance/credit risk management.
Be senior leader within a team of Relationship Managers developing the EIB/FBO business.
Align and partner with key internal constituencies, including Fixed Income sales & Trading, DCM, ECM, Asset Backed Finance, Interest Rate Risk Management, Investment Banking, Treasury Management, Corporate Trust, FX and Prime Brokerage to develop a business plan for each client to maximize wallet share through delivering Wells Fargo's product suite.
Partner with FIG Portfolio Management Unit to manage credit risk in line with Wells Fargo standards and culture.
Partner with FIG Banks Consulting Team to deliver Wells Fargo's perspective and advisory services to the FBO C-Suite in the USA, with particular focus on regulatory and capital optimization strategies.
Coordinate and partner closely with Wells Fargo's Global Relationship Managers in each client's home country, and also with Wells Fargo's Regional Leaders in APAC, EMEA and America's to ensure we maximize the relationship opportunities.
Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
FINRA registration including Series 7 and 63 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)

Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
Knowledge and understanding of originating, structuring, and executing transactions related to corporate banking or other credit related products for the most critical or complex clients
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Experience originating, structuring, and executing transactions related to corporate banking, other credit related products, equity or venture capital investing for critical or complex clients
Other Desired Qualifications
10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Capital markets sales/trading or business management, commercial banking relationship management, corporate banking relationship management, Capital markets advisory or investment banking.
Proven ability to establish relationships at the C-Suite level.
Previous experience managing a widespread team from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Proven ability to develop multifaceted revenue streams from strategic clients, including capital markets, transaction banking and advisory services.
Solid knowledge and understanding of debt capital markets, rates, FX, loan syndications, asset management, leasing, Asset Backed Finance (ABF), Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), Prime Brokerage, treasury management, corporate trust and other relevant Wholesale products.
Multi-lingual with extensive global travel experience. Particularly with international business experience.
History of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal partners.
Strong preference for capital markets sales & trading and/or origination experience.
Candidates not currently licensed may require licensing in future.
