We are seeking candidates to be based in the following locations in WV: Morgantown, Clarksburg, Bridgeport and Fairmont.

Given the location requirements candidates must reside in one of the following states: West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITIES

As a Relationship Banker I or II, your primary responsibility is to make clients feel welcome and to establish relationships by providing an extraordinary client experience with every interaction. We will consider your experience relevant to each level of opportunity.

Relationship Banker I - This role primarily is helping clients with account opening, account servicing/maintenance, and transaction processing. This role is intended as a first step toward becoming an experienced relationship banker and elevating to the Relationship Banker II role.

Relationship Banker II - This role primarily is helping clients with account opening and account servicing/maintenance, and treasury services solutions. A Relationship Banker II is expected to build client relationships to ensure retention and market growth. This position allows for connection with multiple departments that can foster career growth within the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Relationship Banker I

  • Responsible for new account opening for all personal and basic business needs.

  • Display excellent communication and servicing skills when engaging with clients through oral and written means.

  • Identify customer needs during interaction while identifying opportunities to grow customer relationships through a disciplined sales focus.

  • Create and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Multi-task and offer a supportive team perspective.

  • Comply with bank security and operational policies/procedures.

  • Display excellent communication and servicing skills when engaging with clients through oral and written means.

  • Master computer programs used to assist clients in daily needs as well as any software skills necessary for branch automation and efficiency such as service events, workflows, email, etc.

  • Acquire and maintain through training and education an understanding of all regulatory compliance requirements as they relate to this

  • Conduct client facing transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, as needed on rotation, etc.

  • Operate within guidelines for cash balancing and error resolution.

  • Perform operational functions such as ITM balancing, vault balancing, card @ once daily audits, shipment, open and closing, etc.

  • Help clients with simple service issues such as debit card replacement, PIN changes, stop payments, dormant accounts, etc.

  • Consistently demonstrate MVB Core

  • Demonstrate desire to cross train by learning complex business account opening skills and treasury product sales and setup before transitioning to RBII role.

  • Demonstrate the desire to participate in community relations events/activities (CRA).

  • Maintain professionalism with clients at every touchpoint.

  • Relationship Banker II

  • Master account opening process as well as any maintenance needs of existing clients.

  • Train and mentor the Relationship Banker I role in relation to transaction processing, account opening and maintenance, product knowledge, service standards, procedures, customer issue resolution, operational policies, etc.

  • High engagement with onboarding sophisticated product lines such as commercial clients and treasury clients.

  • Elevated level of technical skills with computer programs used to assist clients in daily needs as well as any software skills necessary for branch automation and efficiency such as service events, workflows, email, etc.

  • Leader in sales, service, operational efficiency, risk applications and internal control which meets bank objectives for designated location.

  • Display and foster culture within branch which quality and continuous improvement on all performance accountabilities are understood and utilized.

  • Develop new business and personal relationships while also focusing on retention of existing clients.

  • Work NSF processing and customer reach out for items that need to be decisioned.

  • Adhere to and mentor team members in bank security, compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.

  • Clear understanding and ability to assist with overall company objectives as well as individual departmental objectives. Work with team and management to achieve stated objectives.

  • Support and display an atmosphere of collaboration across departmental areas to encourage teamwork across business lines as well as maintaining a positive work environment between different departments within the bank.

  • Eagerness to seek out training and learning opportunities to improve bank processes and personal understanding of position and future goals.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous cash handling and customer service experience

  • Customer service in banking, financial services, or goal driven sales position

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

  • Minimum compensation would be $18/hr
