As a member of Santander's retail banking division you'll help serve Santander's retail and small business customers as part of one of the top banks in the United States based on deposits. With principal presence in the northeast U.S., Santander's retail division offers consumer and lending products to help our customers reach their financial goals. The Relationship Banker plays a key role within our Retail division and is responsible for delivering personalized financial strategies to clientele through banking and borrowing needs, as well as investment services. The primary objective of this trusted advisor is to grow client assets, retain and acquire new clients. This role will require a holistic delivery of outstanding service and sales solutions to meet client's financial needs and goals.

  • Attends and actively participates in weekly partnership meetings and joint calls with Branch partners.

  • Creates customized solutions for new and existing clients in order to help them achieve their financial goals

  • Engages customers in the lobby to assist, educate and train on how to conduct simple transactions through self-service technologies

  • Ensures customers/clients are connected to the appropriate partner to help them achieve their financial goals, ensuring all sales, service and specialized needs are met, and helping to drive overall revenue growth.

  • Increases profitability by sourcing new customers, prospecting via outbound calling, receiving referrals from centers-of-influence, lobby engagement, and via branch partners.

  • Uses Explore process to acquire and deepen existing relationships.

  • Proactively manages risk in every business, product and service transaction, leveraging available tools

  • To assist you on your path you will be provided the opportunity to obtain the required Series 6 and 63 FINRA registrations and the, Life, Variable & Health Insurance Licenses. Your first 10 weeks with Santander Bank will be solely dedicated to studying for and obtaining these registrations and licenses. Registration sponsorship is subject to role requirements.   • Bachelor's Degree; in business management, finance, or equivalent field or equivalent work experience

  • 3-5 years; Experience selling products and/or services in an incentive based environment.,

  • Six months of cash handling experience.

  • Series 6, 63, and Life and Health obtained within first 10 weeks of hire

  • Ability to build solid relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists by fostering teamwork, partnership and collaboration in a virtual or face-to-face environment

  • Ability to display a credible, trustworthy, and professional image at all times

  • Ability to engage customers for long periods of time,

  • Ability to identify specific knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for satisfactory execution of the positions primary duties & responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will provide daily supervision to the Cash unit in the performance of all tasks related to Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC), Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled and Children (EAEDC) and employment services, while ensuring that all staff are motivated and empowered. In addition, the Cash Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the transitional assistance activities for clients to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive): * Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times. * Assist in overseeing and managing service delivery needs in the office including, but not limited to, the waiting room. * Ensure the unit performs in an effective manner and develop techniques for the improvement of the unit's performance in areas where improvement is necessary. * Ensure the unit achieves, maintain and improves accuracy levels in determining initial and/or on-going eligibility for the Cash program. * Ensure the completion of case maintenance activities are accurate and timely manner. * Conduct professional performance evaluations for all unit staff. * Complete supervisory administrative responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner. * Provide effective training for staff as required. * May provide direct client services, as necessary and appropriate. * Performs related duties as required. * Ensure the unit assists in the development of employment plans and insures that follow-up on referrals to service providers, employers and resources are completed. Required Qualifications: * Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to supervise, including but not limited to, planning, organizing, assigning and coordinating work according to the nature of the job to be accomplished, the capabilities of subordinates, and available resources; controlling work through periodic reviews and/or evaluations; determining subordinates' training needs and providing or arranging for such training; motivating subordinates to work effectively; determining the need for, and recommending or initiating disciplinary action. * Capacity to read, interpret, apply and explain the provisions of the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, specifications, standards and guidelines governing agency operations and assigned unit activities. * Ability to read, interpret and apply Federal, State and local social service programs, laws, statutes and regulations that affect eligibility for financial assistance, such as: worker's compensation, social security and unemployment insurance * Experience gathering and assembling items of information in accordance with established procedures; through questioning and observing individuals and by examining records and documents. * Understanding of referral sources available for providing services to clients, including available community support and social service resources. * Demonstrated understanding of the social and economic problems of the diverse client population and the related impact on employability and self-sufficiency. * Skill in the use of the principles and methods of employment counseling and employment placement. * Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook Preferred Qualifications * Must be highly self-motivated * Ability to manage, motivate and encourage staff. * Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. * Ability to assess and prioritize tasks, as well as plan and organize work assignments simultaneously. * Demonstrated knowledge of DTA benefits and services including eligibility requirements. * Experience with Electronic Document Management (EDM) and smart coversheets. * Demonstrated aptitude for and sensitivity in working with clients with barriers and disabilities, and the ability to implement Department policies accurately and in a timely manner. * Demonstrated knowledge of data tracking and PC software/applications. * Commitment to working with diverse populations. * Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills. * Ability to work under adverse working conditions. * Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.
