As an Account Analyst, - Reinsurance Workers Compensation Claims, you will be responsible for a book of workers compensation accounts. You will employ your experience and our analytics to critically evaluate our workers compensation claim exposures. Using your leadership skills and claims competencies, you will have the opportunity to interact with both internal and external clients, build key relationships and ensure that we are providing the highest level of customer service. You will take ownership of significant issues relating to claims management and account relationships.

Primary Location-Morristown, NJ, Secondary Location- Stamford, CT

You will report the Claims Manager, Workers Compensation, in the AXA XL Reinsurance America, Inc., North America, Claims Department

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Managing Workers Compensation claims under assumed reinsurance agreements including understanding the reinsurance agreements, workers' compensation statutes, reviewing new and existing claims to verify reinsurance coverage, evaluating exposure, setting reserves and considering and authorizing claim payments.

  • Conducting claim reviews at client offices and communicating results/findings in a comprehensive and meaningful way to stakeholders.

  • Maintaining relationships with Underwriters and Actuaries through frequent contact and being responsive to their business needs.

  • Maintain positive relationships with cedents and brokers to meet business needs.

  • Identifying, analyzing and reporting on claim trends.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with Workers Compensation claims; reinsurance experience preferred. General Liability (re)insurance claims a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment; close attention to financial details.

  • The ability to take initiative and work both in teams and independently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact internally and externally with senior management, business leadership and business partners.

  • A willingness to ask questions and explore new ideas. Eager to learn and focus on continuously improving technical skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and facility with claims management systems

  • Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) or CPCU a plus.

  • Travel: Travel is anticipated at approximately up to 20% of the time.

What you need to have: * Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience * Strong claims background * 7 years of reinsurance/insurance claims and accounting experience * Proficiency in O365 * Track record of successful client account management, relationship management, engagement and development.
