Reimbursement And Cost Reporting Analyst

We are looking for Reimbursement and Cost Reporting Analyst to join a prominent health system in Indianapolis, IN. This position is remote.

The Reimbursement and Cost Reporting Analyst is a full-time reimbursement position reporting to the Manager of Government Programs and will prepare Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and supporting information in accordance with cost report instructions and pertinent regulations. The Reimbursement and Cost Reporting Analyst will prepare other documentation and reports related to Medicare and Medicaid reporting and reimbursement, such as Medicaid DSH surveys, analysis of the impact to organizational financial position from proposed or actual regulatory changes, revisions to Medicare Wage Index data, and others. The Reimbursement and Cost Reporting Analyst is involved in the monthly closing process in relation to Medicare and Medicaid payers, so experience with these areas is desirable. The ideal candidate should have proven analytical ability, be a problem solver, collaborate well in a team environment and demonstrate the ability to learn quickly.

• Working with the accounting/finance teams and CFO’s
• Journal entries of cost report/settlement entries
• Analysis of economic indicators
• Research reimbursement issues
• Beginning analytics for reimbursement impacts of various scenarios

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field
• Experience with MACs (Medicare Administrative Contractor)
• Experience with Excel
• Experience with HFS, Oracle, and/or EPSi would be a plus
• Medical education would be a plus
• Hospital experience would be a plus
