Overview

WTS International, one of the world's leading spa and fitness management firms, is seeking a Reiki Specialist in Las Vegas, NV. The Reiki Specialist is responsible for providing Reiki services to guests of our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the "WTS International Experience" for guests by maintaining the standards set in WTS International Basics to Excellence (BTE), WTS International Mission Statement/Values; Standards and Expectations, and WTS International Brand Standards.

  • Adheres to policies of WTS International.

  • Performs Reiki services that meet the established guidelines for the type of service offering and that fulfill guest expectations.

  • Assesses contraindications of guest that may prevent service from taking place.

  • Meets the needs of the guest at all times throughout the service.

  • Understands and uses universal precautions when providing services.

  • Cleans and disinfects all equipment on a daily basis.

  • Maintains the highest level of product knowledge and has complete knowledge of all spa service presently offered. Understands the ingredients in products and can explain their benefits to guests. Answers guests' questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner.

  • Recommends products for home use.

  • Suggests to guests other beneficial treatments offered in the spa.

  • Begins and ends all treatments on time.

  • Works assigned schedule and arrives and departs from their shift on time.

  • Ensures that work areas are clean and set according to procedures.

  • Informs Spa Director or other management personnel about product needs.

  • Creates and maintains client cards and treatment notes, when appropriate.

  • Completes all assigned side work.

  • Attends all scheduled meetings.

  • Attends scheduled professional trainings.

  • Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Valid state license in massage therapy or other credentials required by the state.

  • Previous massage and body work experience.

  • Customer service experience, preferably in a spa.

  • Must be able to build rapport with guest.

  • Ability to explain various treatments/services to guests.

  • Excellent customer service skills and work ethic.

  • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational.

  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.

  • Good verbal and written skills.

  • Strong team player.

  • A comfort level with product recommendation.

  • Availability When Facility Is Open: This could include nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to stand for long periods.

  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly to move objects.

  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • This position requires the following abilities: balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, tactile sense, repetitive motions, seeing, hearing, talking, and visual acuity.

  • Work conditions include exposure to odors, fumes, and vibrations. For those working in a facility with a hammam, this would include working with water and steam in hot temperatures.

Youth & Adult Intervention Specialists perform professional level work in the implementation of a comprehensive program of assessment, intervention, counseling, referral, prevention and education to youth who are clients of the Department of Family Services. Youth & Adult Intervention Specialist I: $53,976.00 - $83,699.20 Youth & Adult Intervention Specialist II:$58,281.60 - $90,417.60 This examination will establish an Open Competitive and Promotional list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months at either level or may be extended as needed by the Office of Human Resources. The Youth & Adult Intervention Specialist I is a training underfill position, upon successful completion of the probationary period (520 hours worked to 2,080 hours worked) and the training program, which is up to two (2) years, the successful candidate will be non-competitively promoted to Youth & Adult Intervention Specialist II. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Education and Experience: Youth and Adult Intervention Specialist I - Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health or Community Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. Youth and Adult Intervention Specialist II - In addition to the above: Two (2) years of full-time professional counseling experience, preferably dealing with youth, adults and families. Working Conditions: May attend some meetings outside of normal working hours. May work extended shifts at times, or provide on-call crisis intervention in a variety of living situations, during evening, weekend or holiday hours. Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License at time of appointment. Specified positions must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate license to practice as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or other required certification or licensure in the state of Nevada. Such license must be obtained within four (4) years from date of hire. In addition to the above, a Substance Abuse Counselor certification is desirable. Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted. Must not have any qualifying offense that violates the standards required by NRS 43B.198 and/or NRS 432B.199. Pre-Employment Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Family Services: Conducts detailed assessments of youth and family clients referred through the Child Welfare system, either in a protective custody facility or in an office setting. Conducts in-depth interviews with clients, families and other appropriate individuals; administers clinical tools/measures; analyzes case documents and treatment records of children and family members with complex needs to guide service delivery and assess progress, then consults and collaborates within a complex system of professionals and provides treatment recommendations. Provides crisis intervention and ongoing support for youth and families in an emergency child shelter, in protective custody, in an office setting or in homes. Prepares and oversees a variety of treatment recommendations, including hospitalization, alternative living arrangements, short- and long-term therapy and rehabilitation, education and other supportive services. Refers families for medical, social, economic and other services that may enhance the treatment process. Develops case files and documents clinical case notes; develops and reviews reports of assessment results. Attends mental health court; provides parent training and coaching; facilitates clinical groups or clinical trainings. Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a multi-disciplinary work team. Uses standard office equipment, including a computer, in the course of the work; drives a personal or County motor vehicle to various in-home and community agency sites. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mobility to work in an office, emergency child shelter, in-home or community setting, use standard office equipment, and to drive a motor vehicle in order to visit work sites and attend meetings; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.
