Rehabilitative Services Manager (Ft, Days)

Job Description

The Rehab Manager assists the Director in the management/direction of rehab services within the Rehabilitation Services Department, including quality improvement, program development, and marketing promotions. They also assist the Director to complete performance appraisals, make staff assignments and administer departmental records.

The Rehab Manager must foster superior customer service relationships within the rehabilitation department, Tennova Healthcare

• Clarksville Health System, and the local community while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality. The Rehab Manager will represent the rehab department during meetings and conferences with other departments and services at Tennova Healthcare

• Clarksville.

The Rehab Manager performs patient evaluation procedures in their respective discipline, develops and implements treatment plans, and plans for measurable patient outcomes. They may assign other staff to coordinate patient assignments or do so directly. The Rehab Manager delegate's implementation of treatment plans within their discipline to the respective therapy assistant as appropriate. All documentation and relevant paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner. The Rehab Manager assumes responsibility for professional development, for themselves and for staff in their charge.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Education / License / Certification:

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in physical or occupational therapy required

• Current licensure as a physical or occupational therapist in the state of Tennessee

• Current Basic Life Support/CPR Card

• Previous supervisory experience of at least one year required

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a practicing therapist is required

Experience / Skills:

• Three years clinical experience

• Prior management experience

• Ability to work in fast-paced ever-changing environment

• Strong computer skills

• Above average communication skills, both written and verbal

• Attention to detail and concentration
