Rehabilitation Therapy Manager

Practice your skills as a hands-on Physical Therapist, advance your career as a manager, make a real difference and lead the rehab team as a Rehabilitation Therapy Manager. Our Rehab Therapy Managers get to utilize their management skills, work with an interdisciplinary, clinical team and manage a highly skilled rehab team. As the Rehabilitation Therapy Manager, you will guide and mentor the rehab team to ensure the plan of care for the patient population care is rendered at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Directing Rehab Services operations such as staff interviews, orientation, performance appraisals, employee development, and supervision

  • Oversees the scheduling process

  • Ensures that Rehab Services provided are appropriate to the scope and level of care for the patients served

  • Promotes flexibility, team building, and engagement to promote an efficient and positive work environment

  • Fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality and efficient service delivery

  • Serves as a liaison between the Rehab Therapy department and the Chief Nursing Officer to further clinically develop staff, service and/or Rehab program

  • Functions within the Job Description for Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist

  • Oversees scheduling process

  • Ensures that Rehab Services provided are appropriate to the scope and level of care for the patients served

  • Promotes flexibility, team building and engagement to promote an efficient and positive work environment

  • Fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality and efficient service delivery

  • Serves as a liaison between the Rehab Therapy department and the Chief Nursing Officer to further clinically develop staff, service and/or Rehab program

  • Actively promotes professional development, education and competency of Rehab staff

  • Demonstrates awareness of department's needs and assists with daily operations.

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Current State licensure in Physical Therapy

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience

  • Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience

  • BLS Required

  • Positive, caring and customer-service oriented attitude

Typically our patients spend an average of 2-4 weeks in our hospital and come to us with a wide variety of diagnosis such as: stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, various neurological disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, amputation, joint replacement, fractures, multiple trauma, cardiac conditions, and pulmonary conditions. 80% of our patients are discharged directly home. We use evidence-based practice guidelines to treat our patients. We utilize our clinical outcomes to assess and improve our treatment interventions and programs. We participate in a national outcomes database, which provides benchmarks and sophisticated outcome reports to help us continually analyze and improve our patient outcomes.
